

Meet Rev. Dr. Coleman
Rev. Dr. Debra Tyler Coleman is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, the third of nine children. After receiving her B. A. Degree in Speech and Drama (Suma Cum Laude) from Grambling State University, she pursued a Master of Arts in Theatre Arts at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Rev. Dr. Coleman accepted her calling to pastoral ministry in 1998. In preparation for ministry, she received the Master of Divinity Degree from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas in May 2004 and her Doctorate of Divinity in 2013. Rev. Dr. Coleman declares that she loves preaching and enjoys pastoring but Biblical teaching is her passion. She is a sought-after preacher and teacher across the state and country.
Rev. Dr. Coleman is a playwright, freelance writer, poetess, lecturer and teacher. She is a member of several community organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Rev. Dr. Coleman is married to Alvin Wayne Coleman and they are the parents of two adult daughters, Rose-Ashleigh Coleman Johnson and Miranda Alisha Coleman. and the proud grandparents of N'Chelle Kari-Joy Johnson and Neveyah Rose Johnson.
